That I opened. Yes! I am officially open! Opening this business has been full of ups and downs filled with lots of challenges. But all those challenges taught me something, not just about myself, but what my business stands for. I created this business to help people heal from their everyday stress, to calm their nervous systems, to relieve built up tension from our outside environmental factors. The past several years I have worked so hard on my personal wellbeing, I want others to feel good too. It’s an amazing feeling to make time for yourself. I know we are all so busy – that is why The Spa Lot comes to you. Believing in your business is half the battle – the rest of it falls into place at the right time.
While preparing my logo work a month ago (I had posted pictures on social media), I attempted to start the generator to power all the equipment, but encountered issues. I had to take the bus back to the conversion team. After several attempts to diagnose the problem, the
technician dug deeper and discovered that my generator might be faulty. I contacted the company that sold it, and they upgraded me to a newer model. This entire process of launching my business has been a tremendous learning experience. I strive to understand every aspect, even those I’m less involved in – I feel like I’ve earned a minor in electrical work and mechanics. What I’ve learned from massage is that the best treatments flow with energy, just like we should flow with life. We must never rush the process, just as we wouldn’t want to rush a massage.
Besides massage to relieve stress, journaling/writing is a huge part of my life. As I looked back over the course of the year, from when this idea started – on October 9th 2023 something was said to me – I had journaled about it. And I am hoping in time I will be able to share my own wellness journey with everyone – just right now, I’m not ready. But on October 9th something was said to me – I journaled, and when I had decided to open on October 9th, I looked back on that entry/date – it is so crazy the timing of everything! I truly believe all these delays were just to protect me and my business – especially from a faulty generator.
I believe in miracles. I am not going to “fix” you – but I do believe I will make you feel better, and if you get better – well maybe it was just a miracle. We have to believe in something, right!
Thank you to everyone who has helped me along this journey – it was never easy, and there will always be ups and downs -- but Karma (the bus) will be so worth it!
